Fran Quilty: CEO Conjura & Founder. Originally a pharmacist, Fran subsequently joined Accenture analytics and worked in its data & analytics department before founding an analytics consulting firm in 2015. Iain McDonald
Belerion Capital
Iain has been working in the investment industry for over 25 years. Prior to forming Belerion, Iain worked as CIO of the William Currie Group; the private family fund and before that with the investment banks Numis and Charterhouse. At Numis, Iain joined what was a very small, niche stockbroker focussed on the Lloyds insurance market and helped to grow the business over the next seven years into the UK’s pre-eminent mid-sized investment bank. Iain established Numis’ research team (which became number one ranked within two years) and at the same time consolidated his own position as the leading retail and e-commerce analyst. Since moving to the “buy side”, Iain has focussed on investing primarily in e-commerce and SaaS companies. Notable investments include ASOS, The Hut Group, Boohoo, Metapack, Eagle Eye Solutions, Anatwine and Lifeworks. Iain is also a non-executive Director of The Hut Group, Boohoo.com, and CentralNic.

James Cox
Itch Petcare
James is the Managing Partner of YYX Capital Partners, a consumer sector focused Family Office. YYX are an investor and an operator, also incubating companies from inception, with itch being one of those. We specialise in spotting ‘white space’ in the consumer market, then establishing industry leading teams to execute the opportunities. Unlike some ‘early-stage’ investors, we favor experience over youth (in most cases).

Conjura
Fran Quilty
Conjura is a SaaS & services business offering its platform to both operators and investors. For investors Conjura uses its platform to perform deep technical diligence on the scalability of a B2C business, the cost of acquiring a marginal customer, the LTV of a marginal customer and the likelihood of churn of every customer. For operators, Conjura automates the capture, cleaning and joining of customer data to be used to help a company operate with more speed and efficiency. Used by CEOs, CFOs, CMOs and equity. Conjura gives a bespoke view of a company’s performance on customer acquisition and maintenance.

Belerion Capital
Iain McDonald
Belerion specialises in the e-commerce and the technology space. Whilst they back companies at all stages of development, their preferred focus is at the development capital stage where more established businesses are seeking additional capital and expertise to accelerate their growth. The companies in which they invest need not necessarily be profitable but should have evidence that a profitable model exists. They are agnostic between private and public companies although have a great deal of experience of taking companies through IPO. Exceptional businesses are difficult to find, so our holding period is indefinite.
