I advise wealthy individuals, their families and the institutions that advise them in respect of their private wealth. I have particular expertise in advising business owning families.
My formative years as a lawyer were spent with a London based global law firm; this provided an experience of company and commercial law that allows me to provide advice to individuals and families in a way that takes into account the commercial aspects of clients’ affairs much more than would otherwise be the case. Private clients often think of their business and personal assets as very closely connected and understanding their interaction is important in order to advise comprehensively.

The International Trust Arbitration Organisation (ITAO) is the only ADR and research centre in the world specialising in common law fiduciary disputes. It was set up by an Anglo-Swiss family office which is historically associated with a FTSE 100 company. Although the organisation's headquarters is in Liechtenstein, ITAO typically conducts proceedings under the arbitral law of a Commonwealth jurisdiction. The Principality’s legislation allows opposing parties to choose the legal seat of arbitration as well as the applicable rules for dispute resolution. Such flexibility makes it possible to choose an optimal ADR framework whilst enjoying the benefits of a tax neutral European location with strict confidentiality laws and a developed infrastructure. Through the work of its Research Council, ITAO has direct access to the world's leading experts on common law trust arbitration.
