Sir Michael Fallon is deputy chairman of the oil company Genel Energy PLC, and a former Secretary of State for Defence (2014-17).
First elected to Parliament in 1983. Sir Michael served as a Minister in four Conservative governments. He was Schools Minister under Margaret Thatcher and John Major; Business and Energy Minister under David Cameron, and Defence Secretary for both David Cameron and Theresa May.
As Minister for Business Sir Michael had responsibility for the aerospace, automotive, chemical and steel industries. As Minister for Energy he had responsibility for nuclear, oil, gas, electricity and renewables. As Defence Secretary Sir Michael had overall responsibility for the armed forces and led the British contribution to the counter-Daesh campaign in Iraq and Syria.
Outside of politics Sir Michael has been a director of several companies with entrepreneur Duncan Bannatyne, and a non-executive director of Tullett Prebon PLC. He is currently chairman of Avanton Ltd. (property), a member of the Advisory Board of Investcorp, and a consultant to other companies.

Mr. Lilley is founder and MD of Drakewood Capital Management Limited, a metals investment company, based in London. Drakewood was established in 2017. Mr. Lilley has over 30 years of metals trading experience. He started his career in 1987 with Cargill, moving to Philipp Brothers and then joining MCC (a subsidiary of Metallgesellschaft) at its inception. These were the top physical copper & metals trading companies of their day and he had responsibilities covering all aspects of the non-ferrous metal trade. In 2004, Mr. Lilley co-founded the hedge fund Red Kite with Lord Farmer who together led Red Kite, sharing responsibilities for strategy formation. At it’s peak, Red Kite was the largest metals hedge fund in the world and one of the largest commodity funds and one of the most successful for investors.

Jean is currently the CIO and Founding Partner of ML Capital LLP.
Jean was the Senior Adviser to the Deputy Prime Minister of Mauritius until the latter’s departure from the coalition government in early 2017.
Before returning to Mauritius Jean ran the Newsmith European fund at Man Group in London post Man Group’s Newsmith takeover.
Jean was a partner at Newsmith Capital Partners in London, a major Asset Management Firm with over US$4 billion assets under management. Jean founded and launched the European Long/Short Equities fund for Newsmith in 2007 when he joined the firm.
Before joining Newsmith Capital Jean worked at ABN Amro, between 2002-2007, where he was the Head of Equity Investments. The team managed the bank’s investments of $5bn.
Jean has held various high profile international finance roles with several major investment institutions such as Bayerische Hypo Bank in Munich, Germany, now part of Unicredit, where he was Head of equity investments. He also spent five years with Salomon Brothers in London, where he was the Head of Continental European Equity Investments, reporting to the Global Head of Equities.
Jean also worked at Schroder Merchant Bank as Head of European Equity Investments and began his professional career at Societe Generale Merchant Bank in 1986.
Jean holds a degree in law from University College of Wales, Aberystwyth (LLb hons) where he graduated Magnum Cum Laude.

A serial entrepreneur, he started his first business out of university with a small business loan from the Royal Bank of Canada and has been a career telecom industry founder/CEO with 5 successful exits to date. In 2005 Anthony led Globalive to begin investing in early stage technology companies where Globalive now takes a founder-friendly approach to actively contribute from startup through to commercialization to scale up team building and ultimate exit.
