Karen O’Mahony is the Founder and Managing Director of PEAL Investment Partners Ltd. Established in 2014, PEAL is an all-female private equity firm that targets portfolios of direct investments via the secondary market. PEAL focuses on actively monitoring, improving and, where necessary, restructuring direct investments. Prior to establishing PEAL, Karen was Deputy CIO and Executive Director of Misland Capital Ltd. Whilst at Misland, she sourced, monitored and managed both direct and co-investments across numerous sectors and strategies. Karen has also worked as an Associate at Goldman Sachs and Director at Davy Stockbrokers. She has served on a number of private and public company boards such as Tri Star Resources PLC (where she was Acting CEO/CFO), SPMP Oman, Tri-Star Antimony Canada Inc, Chronos Therapeutics Ltd and Misland Capital Ltd.
Karen has a B.B.S in Finance from Trinity College Dublin and a Masters in Quantitative Finance from University College Dublin.
